BA School of Finance

BA School of Business and Finance (BASBF) is a public higher educational institution offering professional study programmes on a Bachelor’s, Master’s and a Doctoral level. The main focus of the study programmes is business administration and finance. It offers international business and finance education also in English. Today graduates work for leading companies, banks, auditing companies and various government institutions contributing to the growth of the whole sector with their knowledge and expertise. Graduates are nationally and internationally recognized entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, experts and professionals working both in public and private companies. Our academics have international recognition.

Doctoral study programme ”Business Management” is a doctoral programme being  jointly  implemented by BA School of Business and Finance and  Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA University).

We focus strongly on research and practical application of research results. The doctoral programme challenges the development of new ideas for business management that contributes to the creation of original knowledge. Our academic staff works closely with young researchers and participates jointly in research seminars, international conferences which result in scientific publications. The doctoral programme offers structured education on methods, methodology and theory needed for research and doctoral thesis. During seminars doctoral students have the opportunity to critically analyse theoretical and practical research issues.

BA School of Business and Finance has been internationally recognized and holds several certificates that indicate high level of quality. BASBF has obtained „Investors in Excellence” Quality Management Certificate by the British Quality Foundation thus proving that it meets the high internationally recognized standards EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence model). It was awarded for the third time the Investors in Excellence Quality certificate in 2015. It also was awarded ECTS label that reveals the implementation of learning outcome based study programmes and the recognition of credits obtained in other universities locally and abroad.
